Senior BigCommerce Consultant

Job Brief:
Are you an experienced BigCommerce developer with a knack for team leadership? Do you have a background in eCommerce agency work? If so, we want to hear from you! We’re looking for a Senior BigCommerce Consultant with at least 5 years of expert-level experience to improve our eCommerce solutions and mentor other developers.

Responsibilities:
– Conduct inbound sales technical calls with prospective clients
– Translate functional requirements into technical designs
– Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
– Work with clients, project managers, and developer teams to ensure timely and budget-friendly solutions
– Write clean, functional code and debug applications
– Perform UI tests to optimize performance
– Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
– Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements
– Oversee a team of two developers and provide BigCommerce platform expertise
– Gather and address technical and design requirements
– Stay updated on emerging technologies

Requirements:
– Experience as a BigCommerce Consultant
– Client-facing with strong communication skills
– Experience with managing projects from A to Z
– In-depth understanding of web development process (design, development, deployment)
– Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, GIT, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies
– Familiarity with front-end languages (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
– BigCommerce Certification (preferred)
– Team management skills (preferred)
– Proficiency in English (required), French (preferred)
– Willingness to work in EST timezone, part-time (~20h/week) with no fixed hours
